Friday, August 3rd, Session 2 - day 1...
Activities:
Yah!!!! The start of session two, so after everyone had arrived we had a get to know each other meeting in the lodge, the weather looked a little omnimous but we didn't get rained on. After a delicious dinner of Potatoes Au Gratin with salad and birthday cake for dessert we had our very first camp fire, complete with Smores a great time was had by all!!!!
Food report:
Tonight we dined on Potatoes Au Gratin and a Green Salad. We were also drinking yummy lemonade.
Weather report:
Mostly cloudy with distant thunderstorms. NO RAIN though - the campfire was fun fun fun!
Saturday, August 4th, Session 2 - day 2...
Activities:
Ok, alright!!
Finally time to put fingers to a keyboard and let you all know what is happening.
We had a group go to the Zuni museum and check out the culture and Indian jewelry and crafts. Randy bought a mighty fine tie! We played T-ball in the car park and made some exploding volcanoes for the boys while the girls made cards.
Phew! Then in the afternoon we had a group go bowling, no one broke the camp record yet! Laura, Meranda, Carlos, Ed, Denise, Nicole, Gwen and Tom prepared the pizzas we all ate for dinner they were very yummy.
We had archery where Cari, Don and Ed all got bullseyes.
Evening was "Cafe Noir" great coffee, great company and awesome open mike entertainment!
Food report:

Lunch: Hamburgers, French Fries, Grape Juice
Dinner: OUR COOKING CLASS IS MAKING PIZZA!!! Ceasar Salad, Lemonade
Sunday, August 5th, Session 2 - day 3...
Activities:
Golfing started today with the arrival of Ralph Nitcher from Get a Grip Golf. There was sure in credible putts being sunk.
Also a few went fishing with Bill, we ended uop being left without lunch as no one caught anything!!! After lunch the golf group started to build their clubs while others went bowling still no one broke the record. Evening was the Talent Show, and boy do we have talent! Jared Johnston and Donna Bowder both did country numbers, Joe Ray did a little James Brown, and a re-appearance by the Baby Rain Dancers brought the house down. But the show stopper was Derrick and Bill doing a country duet, it was a sight to behold!
Monday, August 6th, Session 2 - day 4...
Activities:
A beautiful sunny day today after a great thunder storm the night before.
Our golfers got in some pretty mean t time today learning more about the art of golfing. A group went swimming at the outdoor pool and had fun going down the slide and making a big splash, they reckon they saw a fish????????
In the afternoon the senior golfers carried on with making their clubs , while the intermediate golfers went swimming and the rest of gang did tie dyeing. the shirst came out awesome, some of the patterns are just amazing, we had a lot of fun. We contemplated dyeing a couple of the counsellors hair, the campers were all for it but they declined.
This evening a large group went to see the Indian Dances in Gallup, while the ones who stayed in game watched a movie, ate popcorn and had root beer floats, their turn for the dances tomorrow.
Tuesday, August 7th, Session 2 - day 5...
Activities:
Today we got a little interupted by the weather. In the morning the golfers had their group photo taken which will be sent out to them via the post with some other things from Get A Grip. Bill took a group on a hike to the totem pole where they added a new feature, then came back and they prepared lunch, taco salad totally yummy!!!
At the end of rest it started to rain, the golfers had shelter to finish their clubs while the other campers played a game of beach ball volleyball in the lodge and then a noisy game of bingo with everyone getting a prize.
The campers who didn't go to the Indian Dances last night went tonight while the others participated in the Dutch Auction, it was fast and furious, All in all a great day had by everyone.
